I reached out to Justin when I heard he was going through a divorce. As a divorcee myself, I had learned the hard way that dinners could be quite lonely after being married. I told Justin that he ever wanted to go get a burger or pizza because I know how lonely dinners could be, all he had to do was let me know. I had known Justin just slightly from him bringing me in patients and I felt that he was a nice and funny enough guy to do this with. One morning, Justin and I had been talking via text about dumb stuff including biscuits and gravy from Friendly's in town. Justin asked me if I would like to go get some after he got off of work in which I replied yes because I couldn't turn biscuits and gravy down. That morning, we laughed and had great conversation. Not looking for anything, more breakfast dates and lunch dates ensued having enjoyed each other's company. Finally, Justin asked me on a "real" date. I whole heartedly obliged. Our friendship blossomed into the best friendship and relationship that is out of a fairytale. |
